Friday, September 23, 170 years after the first inauguration, the park and the majestic buildings of Villa Durazzo Pallavicini in Pegli that make up one of the most important monumental parks in Europe, will open to the public completely restored.

After five years of waiting, so much lasted the restoration work, for an investment of four million Euros has been reborn all part of the park thanks to the reconstruction of the plant sets, reconstruction of paths, walls and natural engineering works. Awaited the restoration of the Captain’s Castle, the castle on the hill which offers a breathtaking view that sweeps up from Capo Noli to the promontory of Portofino.

The Park was created at the behest of the Marquis Ignazio Pallavicini, which since 1840 commissioned the architect Michele Canzio, scenographer of Carlo Felice, take care of the forest behind the villa.

The tour ticket will be priced at 10 Euros; are planned reductions for children, teens, schools, groups, over 65 and residents.

The opening is scheduled from Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30 to 19, from the first to October 31, the closing is at 18.

From November 1 to March 31 the park will also be open weekends from 10 to 17.
